Orientation activities introduce you to campus life, to people, to new ways of teaching and learning and to the multitude of resources and support available at the University of South Australia. Your Orientation activities are outlined below.

Note: Orientation week will be held at Mawson Lakes campus for all program codes.

Arrival briefing & Accommodation workshop (international and new migrants)
This session, which is for all students who are new to Adelaide, particularly international students, includes information about getting around Adelaide, safety, banking, shopping and medical services. It will also provide information about finding accommodation, tenant rights and how to make the most of the experience.

Money Matters (open to all students)
This workshop will provide information and tips about how to organise your budget as a student. It will include information on part-time employment and other sources of income available to Uni. Students.

Studying Successfully at UniSA: (open to all students) This session will help you understand the structure and expectations of studying at UniSA. You will have the chance to have your questions answered and meet other students.

Being a successful Uni. Student (open to all students)– tips on balancing study, stress, life and everything.
This session will focus on how to manage the challenges of adapting to student life and will give you information about the range of services and supports you can choose from while at Uni.

Introduction to Services at UniSA and Mawson Lakes Quest

You will be involved in a hands-on activity to become familiar with your learning environment, campus facilities, colleagues and career preparation at the Mawson Lakes campus of the University of South Australia.

This will include Campus Central, UniLife, the Library, Security and the Learning and Teaching Unit.

Will be provided and also give you an opportunity to meet other students in your School and chat with relevant academic staff and service providers.

Meet your Program Director and/or relevant Program Support Office and find out about important information relating to your program.

Enrolment and Credit

If you have not already enrolled or need to apply for credit and would like some assistance please come along to Campus Central and we will have e-buddies waiting to help you.  

Student ID cards

Campus Central staff will be available to issue your Student Identification card if you have not already collected your card. 

Please note it takes 30 minutes from the time you enrol online until your card can be issued
