Research @ CIS
Research pursuits are highly encouraged and supported by the School of Computer and Information Science. The School's Advanced Computing Research Centre (ACRC) was formed to act as a University-wide focus for research in the areas of computer science, software engineering and information systems.
The ACRC is a core component of the University's research strategy in communications and information technology and is one of UniSA's designated research areas. ACRC research has been featured in a number of publications, journals and conferences in Australia and internationally.
In addition, the ACRC participates in collaborative research projects within two major Cooperative Research Centres focusing on research in asset management and sustainability, as well as the automotive industry.
Through research collaborations the School has established a number of relationships and links with prominent Australian and International IT organisations.
The School offers postgraduate research programs at both Masters and PhD level.
