Welcome

Thank you for your interest in our School.

Information technology has not only changed the way business is conducted; it has transformed the way we live. It is now an integral part of every organisation, enabling us to gain unprecedented efficiencies and create value through business model innovation.

The University of South Australia's School of Computer and Information Science (CIS) is the largest information and communications technology (ICT) tertiary provider in South Australia, and one of the largest, most dynamic and exciting schools in Australia.

Here, you learn to distinguish between information, knowledge and wisdom and are encouraged to think outside of the box and challenge accepted ideas and practices. Our prime objectives are to help students recognise their potential through experiential learning and provide opportunities to think critically and creatively.

For prospective undergraduate and postgraduate ICT students, this website provides a range of information that will assist in deciding which degree is right for you.

For current students, this website provides access to a range of learning resources required throughout your studies. Additionally, you will find information on internship and career/employment opportunities.

Anyone interested in ICT research should visit the School’s Advanced Computing Research Centre (ACRC).

Being a part of the School of Computer and Information Science presents opportunities for continuous learning and making the most out of the experience that will guide you in your future life.
