- VeriBest VHDL currently using VHDL simulator. Very similar to Aldec product. Tutorial available though not as good as EVITA. No templates provided so you need to write up your own or trust yourself to remember the syntax correctly!
- Aldec VHDL trialled VHDL simulator at the end of 1998. Easy to use, good tutorial, useful templates that can be inserted into code. If you didn't know VHDL (like me when I stated) EVITA is a good start. The omly hassles with the tutorial is that pseudocode is used that is close enough to code to a novice that you end up thinking you are looking at code. The compiler soon sorts that out for you! Why Active VHDL? More info
- Mentor and Renoir HDL VHDL graphical entry generate Verilog & VHDL synthesis/ simulation (ESDA, SLDA, HLDA) Moore/Mealy state, flow chart, truth table & block diagrams FPGA, ASIC & IC UNIX (SUN/ HP) & Windows NT/95 Design Compiler, VSS, Leapfrog, Seamless CVE, Verilog XL,V-System, Galileo, Leonardo, MTI, Exemplar, Synopsys, QSS (Intellectual Property I.P.)

- Amusing/interesting sites. Amusing is probably the wrong word as the vegetable computer really works.
- Mika Nyström's vegetable computer at Caltech It took me back to too many years than I want to remember in high school physics classes. It is a really interesting and fun application that could be used to get kids interested in physics, maths and electronics (apart from we adults who are already hooked)
- Puzzle World contains information about many of the finest handcrafted mechanical puzzles in the world including tangrams.
